Volleyball Recap: Chapel Hill Has No Trouble Against New Boston

Chapel Hill hadn't done well against New Boston recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Lions. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Red Devils this season.

While Chapel Hill won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 26-24.

Ella Waldon paced Chapel Hill's offense, picking up ten kills. Waldon got some help from Kayda White and her ten assists. White was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

The win made it two in a row for Chapel Hill and bumps their season record up to 9-7. As for New Boston, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.

Looking ahead, Chapel Hill is taking a road trip to square off against Como-Pickton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Boston, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Jefferson on the 5th.
