Basketball Recap: Needham Takes a Loss

Needham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The contest between them and the Newton North Tigers didn't end well, with the Needham Rockets falling 50-36. While losing is never fun, the Rockets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Tigers are ranked sixth).

Needham's record now sits at 2-7. As for Newton North, they pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Needham will host Weston at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newton North, they will head out to challenge Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
