Baseball Recap: Monroe Comes Up Short

Monroe came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 20-0 to the Verdugo Hills Dons. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Dons recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Verdugo Hills, the win snapped their losing streak at ten games and leaves them with a 2-11 record.

Monroe has already played their next matchup, a 4-3 victory against Arleta on the 2nd. As for Verdugo Hills, they will welcome Kennedy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Cougars have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
