Basketball Recap: Louisburg Takes a Loss

Louisburg lost against Baldwin back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Louisburg Wildcats might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Baldwin Bulldogs an easy 58-36 win.

It was another big night for Cooper Carr, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 12 boards for Baldwin. That makes it three consecutive games in which Carr has scored at least a third of Baldwin's points. Colton Collum was another key player, putting up six points and five boards.

Louisburg suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 2-2. As for Baldwin, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Louisburg will head out to square off against Bonner Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Bonner Springs' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for Baldwin, they will welcome Spring Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Baldwin is on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), Spring Hill a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
