John Paul II entered their tilt with Legacy Christian Academy on Tuesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Eagles 14-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-0 back in March.

Carly Holman spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, John Paul II got a massive performance out of Izzy Weber, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most hits Weber has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Sadie Zipser, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

John Paul II hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in nine consecutive games.

John Paul II's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Legacy Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 16-9-1.

The future could be bright for both John Paul II and Legacy Christian Academy: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Cardinals will look to extend Bishop Lynch's nine-game losing streak when they meet at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
