Baseball Recap: Tishomingo County's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Tishomingo County barely beat Booneville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Tishomingo County was the clear victor by an 11-4 margin over Booneville on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Braves also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2024.

Jevan McDuffy made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jackson Moore, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Tishomingo County's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Beau Crum, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Tishomingo County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matches.
