Baseball Game Preview: Biggsville West Central Heat vs. Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes

Biggsville West Central is on an 11-game streak of home losses, and Abingdon/Avon a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Saturday. The Biggsville West Central Heat will welcome the Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes at 11:00 a.m.

Things were looking good for Biggsville West Central after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost 7-1 to Galva.

Aiden Todd was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits.

At the plate, Biggsville West Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Eisnnicher, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Abingdon/Avon sidestepped Cuba/Spoon River Valley for a 6-4 victory.

The win got Abingdon/Avon back to even at 10-10. As for Biggsville West Central, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.
