Beaver takes loss despite strong efforts from Brady Mayo and Ty Butler

Recap: Beaver Bobcats vs. Lincoln Park Performing Arts

The Beaver Bobcats suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 88-38 loss at the hands of Lincoln Park Performing Arts. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Beaver in their matchups with Lincoln Park Performing Arts: they've now lost eight in a row.

Beaver's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ty Butler, who scored ten points along with six rebounds, and Brady Mayo who scored 17 points. Mayo is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season.

Beaver's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Lincoln Park Performing Arts, their victory was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Beaver will take on Hopewell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopewell has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28. As for Lincoln Park Performing Arts, they will head out on the road to take on Ambridge at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ambridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 470th, while Lincoln Park Performing Arts is ranked 12th).
