Baseball Game Preview: Green Level Gators vs. Apex Cougars

For the first time this season, Green Level will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Apex Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with 13 losses in a row dating back to last season, Green Level turned things around against Willow Spring on Friday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Storm.

Isaiah Hytmiah was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Henry Geiser was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Apex posted their closest win since March 20, 2024 on Friday. They skirted past Broughton 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Capitals: they've now won five in a row.

AYDEN FOGG looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

The win got Green Level back to even at 1-1. As for Apex, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Green Level suffered a grim 13-3 defeat to Apex in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Green Level avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
