Basketball Recap: Appleton East Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Appleton East won the last time they faced Pulaski and things went their way on Monday too. The Appleton East Patriots sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 49-46 win over the Pulaski Red Raiders. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly three points.

The victory was the third in a row for Appleton East, bringing their record for this year to 3-0. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.67 points across that stretch. As for Pulaski, they moved to 2-1 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Appleton East will venture away from home to challenge Kaukauna at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Appleton East has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-0 during that stretch of close contests. As for Pulaski, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they will face off against Sheboygan South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sheboygan South knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Pulaski likes a good challenge.
