Baseball Game Preview: Moody Bearcats vs. Lytle Pirates

The Moody Bearcats will face off against the Lytle Pirates at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Moody came into this matchup off a tough seven-run defeat on February 7th. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Live Oak Classical by a score of 9-7 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Lytle came up short against Poth on Tuesday and fell 6-3.

Devin Cordova and Mason Hill did some serious damage despite the final result: Cordova went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, while Hill got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Hill is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Lytle now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for Moody, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
