Volleyball Game Preview: Fairbury Jeffs vs. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans

The Fairbury Jeffs will venture away from home to face off against the Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairbury will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Fairbury barely beat Superior the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Jeffs blew past the Wildcats 3-0 on Thursday.

Fairbury walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-11.

Fairbury can attribute much of their success to Alecia Bedlan, who had ten digs and two assists.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Cornerstone Christian School on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won eight in a row.

Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer never let Cornerstone Christian School on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-18.

Fairbury's record now sits at 12-5. As for Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer, their record is now 11-6.

Everything went Fairbury's way against Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Fairbury made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jeffs since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
