The Rodriguez Mustangs will take on the Bethel Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Rodriguez is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.8 runs per game this season.

Rodriguez's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Friday's struggle, when Pioneer hitters got past them. Rodriguez lost 10-0 to Pioneer on Friday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Rodriguez saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jasmyn White, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Bethel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of Kennedy. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (ten), the Jaguars still had to take the loss.

Bethel's loss dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for Rodriguez, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

Everything went Rodriguez's way against Bethel when the teams last played back in February of 2017, as Rodriguez made off with an 11-5 victory. Does Rodriguez have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bethel turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
