Softball Recap: Coppell's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Coppell barely beat Braswell the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Coppell Cowboys' pitcher stepped up to hand the Braswell Bengals a 12-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Cowboys as they're now sitting on three straight.

Lily Bowen made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave her a new career-low in hits. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Coppell got a massive performance out of Cecilia Bourque, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Bourque has posted since back in February. Madison Scott was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, three RBI, and two runs.

Coppell's record is now 13-7-1. As for Braswell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Looking ahead, Coppell will take on Flower Mound at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Braswell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hebron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hebron's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Braswell's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
