Baseball Recap: Honesdale Hornets vs. Holy Cross Crusaders

Honesdale proved they can win big last Monday (they won by six) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Holy Cross Crusaders, sneaking past 5-3. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 10-8 victory the Crusaders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Honesdale got a great performance from Brody Patrisso as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Patrisso also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because the Hornets are 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 3-4 otherwise.
