Volleyball Recap: Onaga Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Onaga had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 10-6 to make it four. They fell just short of the Clifton-Clyde Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Buffaloes were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Lillie Weiser paced Onaga's offense, picking up ten kills. Weiser got some help from Abbie Ringel and her 26 assists. Addison Dechant controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

As for Clifton-Clyde, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Onaga since October 16, 2021.

Clifton-Clyde found their leader in sophomore Scout Skocny, who had 19 digs and one assist. Ellie Wurtz also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Coincidentally, Onaga and Clifton-Clyde will both be playing Blue Valley the next time they take the court. The Buffaloes will host the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
