Baseball Recap: Goddard Takes a Loss

Goddard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Clovis Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Rockets have suffered since March 15th.

Goddard's record is now 5-9. As for Clovis, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Looking ahead, Goddard will venture away from home to face off against Roswell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rockets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Coyotes have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Clovis, they will welcome Lovington at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
