Volleyball Recap: Lassen Grizzlies vs. Central Valley Falcons
Lassen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Central Valley Falcons. The Grizzlies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September.
While Lassen had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-23.
Even though they lost, Lassen was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2023.
Lassen's loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Central Valley, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-18.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lassen and Anderson will meet on Tuesday for a tough Bear Battle. Lassen is facing Anderson at the right time seeing as Anderson is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Central Valley, they will head out to challenge West Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Valley is no doubt hoping to put an end to an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
