Basketball Recap: Wheaton Comes Up Short

Wheaton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 57-47 to the Richard Montgomery Rockets. The Knights lost against the Rockets in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 88-45 score last time.

Wheaton's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Richard Montgomery, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

Wheaton has already played their next matchup (against Rockville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Richard Montgomery will square off against Whitman at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Whitman's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
