Volleyball Recap: Hanover Area Has No Trouble Against Dallas

Hanover Area's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Dallas Mountaineers as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Hawkeyes were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Mountaineers, so the Hawkeyes were just returning the favor.

Hanover Area didn't let Dallas take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-22, 25-22.

Davyn Piatt-Ferreira paced Hanover Area's offense, picking up ten kills. Piatt-Ferreira got some help from Ireneo Panecatl and his 26 assists. Panecatl was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Hanover Area's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Dallas, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coming up, Hanover Area will head out on the road to challenge Berwick at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dallas, they will host Pocono Mountain West at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
