Football Recap: Coquille Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Coquille dropped to 4-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They were outmatched by the Douglas Trojans and fell 35-8. The Red Devils were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

As for Douglas, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4. That 27 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Douglas was led to victory by Ryder Sawyer and Jaden Burkhart. Sawyer rushed for 91 yards and one score on only 12 carries, while Burkhart rushed for 89 yards and three TDs. Sawyer's passing game has become a key predictor of the Trojans' success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.
