Football Recap: Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's offense. They were beaten by the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls 49-0 on Friday. The Gryphons just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

South Stanly's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ikey Holt, who rushed for 36 yards and one TD, and also picked up 71 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards Holt has posted since back in August. Kaleb Richardson was another key signal caller, throwing for 146 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 13 passes.

Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for South Stanly, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
