Softball Recap: Santa Fe Comes Up Short

St. Pius X hit Santa Fe with a seven-run sixth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Demons came up short against the Sartans, falling 15-1.

Santa Fe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leah Gutierrez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Santa Fe's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Pius X, their record now sits at 3-1.

Looking ahead, Santa Fe will be taking part in a tournament against Belen at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Pius X, they will take on Farmington in a tournament on Friday.
