Football Game Preview: Richland Springs Coyotes vs. West Texas T Tornadoes

The Richland Springs Coyotes will take on the West Texas T Tornadoes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Richland Springs will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Richland Springs is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past St. Joseph Catholic 83-14 on Friday. The Coyotes' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

It was another big night for Cohen Ethridge, who rushed for 73 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 101 yards and two touchdowns. What's more, he posted two rushing touchdowns, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Eli Hutchins was another key player, picking up 78 receiving yards and two TDs.

Richland Springs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Evan Deeds and Ethridge.

Meanwhile, West Texas T beat Lazbuddie 30-18 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tornadoes.

The victory got West Texas T back to even at 2-2. As for Richland Springs, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
