Volleyball Recap: New Haven Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact New Haven can now relate to. They fell just short of the Fort Wayne South Side Archers by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Archers earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Miguel Piedra paced New Haven's offense, picking up 15 kills. Piedra got some help from Moe Pwa and his 16 assists. Piedra was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

New Haven's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Fort Wayne South Side, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-13.

New Haven does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Wayne South Side, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Heritage on the 15th.
