Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sumner). They put the hurt on the Searsport Vikings with a sharp 33-8 win on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Tigers needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Sumner's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5. As for Searsport, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Sumner will host Washington Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for Searsport, they are taking a road trip to challenge Dexter at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
