Basketball Game Preview: Decatur Bulldogs vs. Towers Titans

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Decatur beat Lakeside 57-51. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Vikings are ranked 364th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Towers came tearing into Friday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 46.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 66-52 victory over the Hurricanes.

Decatur is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Towers, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home.
