Volleyball Game Preview: Simeon Wolverines vs. Victoria Soto Wolves

The Simeon Wolverines will head out to square off against the Victoria Soto Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Monday, Simeon came up short against Back of the Yards College Prep and fell 2-0. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Victoria Soto didn't have quite enough to beat Kelly on Friday and fell 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Victoria Soto sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 22-25, 25-23.

Victoria Soto's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Simeon, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 4-3.

Simeon beat Victoria Soto 2-0 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
