Baseball Recap: Charlotte Latin Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Charlotte Latin dropped their record down to 16-3 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins at home. They came up short against the Charlotte Christian Knights, falling 6-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Hawks have suffered since February 27th.

As for Charlotte Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.

For Charlotte Christian's part, Grant Nicholson tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Nicholson has posted since back in March.

At the plate, Owen Farrell was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one stolen base. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivan Andino, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
