Soccer Recap: Mynderse Academy's Undefeated Season over After Ten Games

Mynderse Academy was the 3-1 winner over Newark when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Devils fell 3-1 to the Reds on Thursday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Mynderse Academy came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Newark are ranked 310th).

Having lost for the first time this season, Mynderse Academy fell to 9-1. As for Newark, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5-1.

Coincidentally, Mynderse Academy and Newark will both be playing Geneva the next time they take the pitch. The Reds will head out to face the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Blue Devils will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
