Soccer Game Preview: North Murray vs. Pickens

The North Murray Mountaineers will head out on the road to square off against the Pickens Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Murray's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

North Murray is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Coahulla Creek last Thursday. The Mountaineers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts. While losing is never fun, North Murray can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while Coahulla Creek are ranked 159th).

Meanwhile, Pickens was able to grind out a solid victory over North Hall last Friday, taking the game 3-1.

The win got Pickens back to even at 5-5. As for North Murray, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
