Baseball Recap: Holy Cross' Victory on Sunday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Holy Cross had no problem doing just that on Sunday. They never let the North Branford Thunderbirds get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Crusaders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Holy Cross' victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for North Branford, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 23-5.

Looking ahead, Holy Cross will face off against Shepaug Valley on Tuesday. The Spartans' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Crusaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. North Branford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
