The Ridgeline Riverhawks will face off against the Davis Darts at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ridgeline is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Ridgeline beat Green Canyon 9-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Riverhawks.

Ridgeline's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brielle Gardiner, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Ava Buttars was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Davis). They were the clear victors by a 17-6 margin over Viewmont on Wednesday. Considering the Darts have won four games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Cambell Christensen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). Christensen was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one double.

In other batting news, Davis got a massive performance out of Riley Jaques, who fired off two home runs and five RBI while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Norah Sunderland, who fired off two home runs while going 2-for-3.

Davis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Ridgeline's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average this season. As for Davis, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Ridgeline hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.2 home runs per game. However, it's not like Davis struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.3 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.

Everything went Ridgeline's way against Davis in their previous meeting back in April of 2021, as Ridgeline made off with an 11-0 win. Does Ridgeline have another victory up their sleeve, or will Davis turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
