Northern Garrett entered their tilt with Varsity Opponent on Thursday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over Varsity Opponent. That's more bragging rights for the Huskies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Landon Yoder spent all seven innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on eight hits.

At the plate, Wally Brands was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Liam Stewart was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Northern Garrett kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 12 consecutive games.

Northern Garrett's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1.

Looking ahead, Northern Garrett will host Hancock at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Parkview Christian Academy on the 24th.
