Baseball Game Preview: Legacy Leopards vs. Memorial Mavericks

The Legacy Leopards will challenge the Memorial Mavericks at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Legacy fell victim to Abilene and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, Memorial faced Cooper in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Memorial blew past Cooper 8-1. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by seven runs or more this season.

The victory (which was Memorial's fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Legacy, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
