Softball Recap: Magnolia Sentinels vs. Century Centurions
After flying high against Saddleback last Wednesday, Magnolia came back down to earth. Magnolia took a 23-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Century Centurions on Friday. Sentinels fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Centurions since on Friday.

Sofia Miranda put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs.
In other batting news, Amalia Ortiz and Darlene Phaxayaseng did some serious damage despite the final result: Ortiz scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances, while Phaxayaseng went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Valerie Moniz was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
