Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Seaforth couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Southeast Alamance Stallions by a score of 48-45 on Thursday. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Katherine Leonard, who went 5-for-9 en route to 14 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabrielle White, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards.

Southeast Alamance's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clara LaChapelle, who posted 16 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Shaniya Paylor, who earned ten points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Seaforth's loss dropped their record down to 28-3. As for Southeast Alamance, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-3 record this season.

Seaforth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southeast Alamance, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-33 victory against North Wilkes on the 15th.
