Basketball Game Preview: Calhoun City Wildcats vs. Houston Hilltoppers

The Calhoun City Wildcats will be playing at home against the Houston Hilltoppers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Calhoun City comes in on five and Houston on three.

If Calhoun City beats Houston with 82 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Calhoun City breezed by Vardaman to the tune of 82-34 on Tuesday. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Houston ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They escaped with a win against Houlka by the margin of a single free throw, 64-63.

Calhoun City's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 26 points. As for Houston, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
