Basketball Recap: Westran Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Westran entered their match against Kirksville on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Westran Hornets took a 55-40 bruising from the Kirksville Tigers. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 47-45 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Westran saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cruze Haynes went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points.

Even though they lost, Westran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive contests.
