White County had won seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 4-1 to make it eight. They slipped by the Livingston Academy Wildcats 14-13. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

White County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cole Sims led the charge by rushing for 146 yards and one score. Sims' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 133 rushing yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Livingston Academy fell to 4-1. The game marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Livingston Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rocco Carwile, who picked up 120 receiving yards and one TD. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 99 yards.

White County didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 26-14 victory against Macon County on the 26th. As for Livingston Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 69-0 win against Pickett County on the 26th.
