Basketball Game Preview: Patton Panthers vs. R-S Central Hilltoppers

The Patton Panthers are taking a road trip to take on the R-S Central Hilltoppers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Patton took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They secured a 60-56 W over East Rutherford.

Meanwhile, R-S Central humbled Polk County with a 77-32 victory. That looming 77-32 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hilltoppers yet this season.

R-S Central is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Patton, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.

Patton came up short against R-S Central in their previous meeting back in January, falling 54-50. Can Patton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
