Baseball Recap: Centaurus Comes Up Short

Centaurus extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 8-14. They came up short against the Fairview Knights, falling 14-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 15-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2025.

As for Fairview, they pushed their record up to 14-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.

For Fairview's part, Jacob Jaramillo looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Jaramillo has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grayson Dinges and Skyler Daniel did most of the damage at the plate: Dinges went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Daniel went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three RBI gave Dinges a new career-high. Cooper Neumann was another key player, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
