Softball Recap: Russell Red Devils vs. Lewis County Lions
Russell had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 6-12 to make it four. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lewis County Lions. The Red Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 15-6.
Karson Honaker and Hadley Cook stepped up to the plate in a big way. Honaker went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Cook went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Ava Howard was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run.

On Lewis County's side, Jerra Lucas made a big impact no matter where she played.
