Soccer Game Preview: Cane Ridge vs. Lawson

Cane Ridge is preparing for their first district matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will take on the Lawson Lightning at 6:00 p.m.

Cane Ridge came into their game two weeks ago off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Franklin, falling 3-0. The Ravens have struggled against the Admirals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Meanwhile, Lawson kept a clean sheet against Nashville Christian Advancement Academy on Monday. They put the hurt on Nashville Christian Advancement Academy with a sharp 3-0 win.

Cane Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Lawson, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything went Cane Ridge's way against Lawson in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Cane Ridge made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cane Ridge since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
