Basketball Recap: Diller-Odell's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

Diller-Odell and Elm Creek squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Diller-Odell had to settle for second. They took a 60-44 bruising from the Elm Creek Buffaloes. The Griffin's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Diller-Odell lost, don't look at Myleigh Weers. Despite the final result, she posted 21 points along with six boards and five steals. Weers has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Duis, who earned nine points.

Diller-Odell's loss dropped their record down to 18-8. As for Elm Creek, the victory (which was their 20th in a row) raised their record to 25-1.
