Basketball Game Preview: Shipley vs. Gloucester Catholic Rams

Having just played yesterday, Shipley will jump right back in to play the Gloucester Catholic Rams at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Shipley will be strutting in after a win while Gloucester Catholic will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with 13 defeats in a row dating back to last season, Shipley turned things around against Timber Creek Regional on Sunday. They walked away with a 64-55 victory over the Chargers. Shipley's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Shipley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jack Naegle led the charge by going 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points and seven boards. Those seven rebounds gave Naegle a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Rassmussen, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds.

Shipley was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Gloucester Catholic lost to Cherokee on the road by a 70-52 margin on Saturday. The loss was the Rams' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gloucester Catholic fell to 2-1. As for Shipley, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.
