The Greater Vision Academy Lions will square off against the Mount Zion Christian Academy Mighty Warriors at 7:30 a.m. on Friday. Greater Vision Academy will be strutting in after a win while Mount Zion Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with six losses in a row dating back to last season, Greater Vision Academy turned things around against Carter G. Woodson back in December of 2024. They managed a 49-45 victory over the Eagle.

Meanwhile, Mount Zion Christian Academy's game on Thursday was all tied up 32-32 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Grace Christian by a score of 77-74. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (66), the Mighty Warriors still had to take the loss.

Mount Zion Christian Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Greater Vision Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Greater Vision Academy took a serious blow against Mount Zion Christian Academy when the teams last played back in November of 2024, falling 81-39. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Mount Zion Christian Academy's Chris Walker, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.
