Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

Assumption typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Roosevelt proved too difficult a challenge. They skirted past the Knights 6-4.

Roosevelt is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Assumption, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will face off against Des Moines East at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Assumption, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Clinton at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
