Mt. Pleasant put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 28-17 win over the Bay City Western Warriors. Given the Oilers' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Warriors are ranked 161st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mt. Pleasant's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Bay City Western, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mt. Pleasant is set to square off against their familiar foe Traverse City West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bay City Western will face off against rival Traverse City Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
