Basketball Recap: North Branch Takes a Loss

North Branch lost against Yale back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The North Branch Broncos received a blow as they fell 59-40 to the Yale Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Broncos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 324th in Michigan, while the Bulldogs are ranked 84th in Michigan).

North Branch has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season. Yale is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

North Branch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Yale, they will face off against Croswell-Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Croswell-Lexington will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Yale surely won't give up without a fight.
